Terms of Service
Last updated June 5, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of Idea Builder, a paid Visual Studio Code extension (“Idea Builder”, the “Software”). By purchasing a license or installing and using the Software, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
1. License
Idea Builder is sold as a one-time purchase. Your payment grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software. A single license key activates the Software on one machine at a time. You may move your license to another computer by deactivating it on the first machine (via the “Idea Builder: Deactivate License on This Machine” command) and then activating it on the new one. If you need to run Idea Builder on more machines simultaneously, purchase additional license keys.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the Software or your license key.
- Circumvent, disable, or tamper with license activation or validation.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
3. Payments and licensing provider
Payments and license fulfillment are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Your purchase is also subject to Dodo Payments’ own terms. Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases; a price change never affects a license you have already bought.
4. Cancellations and refunds
Idea Builder is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel on a recurring basis. Because Dodo Payments is the merchant of record for every purchase, all cancellation and refund requests are handled through them.
If you would like to request a refund or have a billing question, email support@dodopayments.com with your order details (the receipt email you received at checkout). You can also reach us at barakolshe@gmail.com and we will help coordinate the request with Dodo Payments. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method by Dodo Payments.
5. The Software depends on Claude Code
Idea Builder drives Anthropic’s Claude Code inside VS Code. You are responsible for installing Claude Code and complying with its terms and any associated usage costs. Idea Builder is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Software is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You are responsible for your code, your version control, and your backups.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Idea Builder or its operator be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue arising from your use of the Software. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Software will not exceed the amount you paid for your license.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the Software after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
